Automotive Technician at East End Auto, you will be a vital team member responsible for assisting the
owner directly and performing advanced automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. Your core

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
- Proven experience as an automotive/diesel technician.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of the techniques and procedures to diagnose mechanical/operating problems.
- Working knowledge of preventative maintenance inspection techniques.
- Working knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines and mechanical components for repairing and maintaining automobiles and trucks.
- Working knowledge of safe working practices.
- Operate computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Understand and follow oral/written directions and plans.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Safely lift objects weighing 50 pounds.
- Fabricate using welding equipment.
- Work cooperatively with others and provide positive customer service.
- Learn to input, access, and analyze data using a computer and adapt to technical changes.
Typical Tasks
Common assignments include:
1) conducting drivability tests to diagnose defects in passenger vehicles,
light trucks, vans, etc.;
2) diagnose and determine the appropriate repair for fuel injection systems,
computerized feedback emission control systems, heating, air conditioning, brake, steering and
suspension systems;
3) advise and consult with service writer staff;
4) maintains records of work performed and materials used;
5) perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full‐Time
Pay: $60,000.00 ‐ $80,000.00 per year
